Atlantic Health System is looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for the Morristown Hand Surgery, part of Atlantic Medical Group.


Essential Functions:

  • The Certified Medical Assistant in the ambulatory practice functions as an integral membre of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient care
  • The CMA functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when determining competencies and performing clinical tasks during patient care
  • The CMA will assume clinical as well as administrative responsibilities including managing phones, registering patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, rooming patients, vital signs, medication reconciliation,

  • As well as maintaining/prepping exam rooms, and other duties typical of a CMA in a physician practice.



  • HS Diploma require
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred


  • Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, NHA required

  • Post externship physician practice experience preferred

  • Prior EMR physician practice experience a plus

  • Experience with EPIC desired
