Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Radiation Therapist for Overlook Medical Center location. This incredible opportunity is a day position and the hours are 8am to 4pm.

Essential Functions:

• Accurately delivers the planned course of radiation therapy while correctly operating the treatment units with minimal supervision.
• Responsible for performing daily linac and CT QA as well as monthly CT QA.
• Accurately performs IGRT, SBRT treatment and portal imaging.
• Practices the ALARA principle for radiation protection for patients and staff.
• Accurately CT/Simulates patients and instructs patients regarding simulation procedure and future planning sessions.
  Responsible for current knowledge of all emergency procedures for the department as well as each piece of treatment equipment.
• Reports any malfunctions of equipment in relation to patients treatment to physician, lead therapist, manager, and physicists.
• Maintain open communication with Radiation Oncology Department personnel to enable a smooth continuum of patient care.

Education:

• Must be graduate of accredited NJ Radiation Therapy program
• Must hold NJ State License, Must be ARRT registered (RT)
• Must possess valid CPR certification

Qualifications / Requirements:

• 3-4 years radiation therapist experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate with clarity and compassion
• Must be able to work with a team environment and ensure that patient satisfaction and commitment to quality care is always our first priority
