Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Patient Financial Services Representative to work M-F from 8:30am - 5pm at their Morris Plains location.

Responsible for qualifying patients for medical equipment in compliance to payor’s medical policy. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Run and review reports to identify patient’s that need to be qualified.
• Communicate with patients and physicians regarding qualification requirements.
• Obtain necessary documentation to qualify patients for equipment needed and start billing process.
• Work with other reimbursement staff to coordinate accurate billing.
• Follow up on requests regularly.
• Maintain reports of completed accounts and outcomes.
• Provide coverage as needed for intake of new Medicare oxygen cases.

Minimum Education: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Some college preferred

Minimum Relevant Experience: 

• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid & commercial insurance coverage criteria preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication & computer skills.
• Must be organized and have the ability to identify and solve problems.
• Knowledge of CPR+ computer preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to research medical policy and apply it to everyday work.
