Overview

The Application Systems Analyst is a full-time position with Atlantic Health System’s (AHS) Information Technology Division supporting multiple Epic and integrated imaging applications used by AHS inpatient clinical and ancillary departments. The position has responsibility for the implementation and support of assigned applications and technologies including, but not limited to, one or more of the following: o Epic Cupid

o Epic Radiant

o Imaging Applications (CVIS, PACS, Dictation systems, MIS)

The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

An Application Systems Analyst – Epic Cupid, Epic Radiant and Ancillary Imaging responsibilities include:

· Demonstrates in-depth analysis of workflows, system details and technical issues associated with the applications supported

· Provides support of daily and ad-hoc requests

· Analyzes new functionality and understand how it works and relates to imaging workflows

· Assist end users with workflows and answer questions

· Interfaces with key IT, clinical, business and operations staff to assist in the development of efficient workflows.

· Participates in testing system enhancements and performs rigorous testing to deliver high-quality end-user solutions.

· Engages expert resources when needed and escalates appropriately

· Facilitate and assist with imaging data management (Chart Corrections, merges, etc...)

· Provide End-User at the elbow support as needed

· Present technical and workflow information to customers and end-users

· Responsible to be available to work on an on-call basis for system upgrades, go lives and departmental needs

Qualifications

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or equivalent experience

 

Requirements:

· Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical and/or business practices and principles

· Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an efficient workflow

· Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships

· Ability to support IT imaging technologies both in person and remotely

· Experience with clinical workflow support or customer technical support

 

Preferred:

· Minimum 1-2 years work experience within information technology or applicable area of healthcare

· 1 or more professional certification related to imaging

o Epic Cupid

o Epic Radiant

o CIIP

o PARCA

o Other Certifications offered by RSNA, ACR, etc…
