Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Content Strategy Manager who will plan, oversee and build a successful content marketing strategy for Atlantic Health System. With guidance from the Director of Integrated Marketing and support from the Marketing and Communications team, the Content Strategy Manager will research, conceptualize and create high-quality and impactful messaging for all channels and audiences. They will also lead brainstorming and content planning as well as provide direction to the Marketing/Communications team, writers and agency partners as required, to ensure alignment to brand standards and overarching system objectives.

 

In addition to writing for various channels, the Content Strategy Manager will be responsible for copy editing creative materials. This person will be an effective writer, creative and strategic thinker and must be able to work collaboratively on several high priority projects concurrently. They will also be responsible for determining how to and when to optimize content across all Atlantic Health owned, earned, and paid channels and ensure Mar/Comm team executes against that plan.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow content marketing program; oversee content strategy, planning, research, curation, creation, distribution and measurement.
  • Develop content strategy plan and create long-term editorial calendar that reflects business objectives; ensure content is consistent, optimized across all delivery platforms and reflects current best practices.
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Communication team and external agency partners to brainstorm, conceptualize and write copy that will be featured in various channels including marketing emails, web content, social postings, sponsored content, collateral, video scripts and more.
  • Ensure content reflects current consumer thoughts and trends and aligns with the brand and strategic business objectives.
  • Lead content planning meetings with Mar/Comm colleagues to assess story ideas and align our content in production to the core messages and service priorities while also identifying opportunities to maximize content across channels.
  • Develop process to identify and set goals; metrics tracking and performance reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years professional work experience in Journalism, Marketing, Writing, or Public Relations with duties including writing, copyediting, proofreading in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have exceptional writing and grammatical skills and an understanding of the variances in appropriate tone and messaging on different platforms
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly
  • Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills
