The Infrastructure Cloud & Identity Team Lead role is unique in that it requires an individual to understand the constantly changing and fast-paced world of technology and temper that with the methodic need for implementation, project management, and documentation.  The position focuses on the Cloud & Identity infrastructure.

The Team Lead will establish a technical vision with the team and will work with them to turn it into reality. The Team Lead focuses on technical matters; he/she will be the subject matter expert in his or her vertical and will work with the various SMEs to funnel the information upward. The Team Lead should be ready to step in on heated technical debates, understand the limitations and challenges of their verticals and work with outside stakeholders (customers/partners) to define technical options and agree on solutions for future streams of work.

While crafting a solution, a Team Lead bears in mind that the solution is engineered in a manner for future handoff to Operations.

The Team Lead is the point of contact for all current and new Cloud & Identity technologies and is expected to understand what effect they would have on the existing production environment.  Research is expected on a regular basis, as well as understanding new technologies and how they could benefit Atlantic Health.  Atlantic Health uses technology as a competitive advantage and the Team Lead helps to maintain that edge.

Understanding the implementation expectations and providing timelines would be expected. During larger rollouts of dedicated infrastructure, this position would take a lead role in verifying that the technology is implemented correctly and performing as expected. 

Security is extremely important at Atlantic Health and as such this position should always be aware of the latest security alerts and ways of mitigating these issues in the infrastructure. This would entail working hand in hand with our information security department.



  • Act as the point of contact for all new Cloud and Identity solutions.
  • Develop the design aspects necessary for the proper operation of the production environment and maintain that documentation.
  • Constantly research the latest technology offered by Cloud vendors.
  • Understand technologies offered by key industry leaders and how to integrate their technologies together as they relate to their needs in the services that ISS delivers. 
  • Work with the System Analyst 2s in transitioning new designs into the production environment.
  • Work with the System Analyst 3s in operations in order to verify that new platforms are being monitored as efficiently as possible.
  • Mentor Level 1s and 2s to assist in their growth and education.
  • Report project status to the IT Manager.
  • Act as an escalation point for major outages and issues.
  • This position does have an “on-call” aspect after hours as per a defined schedule.



  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in progressive IT roles from Administrator to Engineer.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equavelent combination of work history and extensive experience. 
    • Certifications in AWS & Azure administration, Identity & Access Management.
    • Certifications in Windows 2016 or higher and Active Directory administration.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • AWS instance administration, deployment of applications, services, hosts, etc.
    • Azure instance administration, deployment of applications, services, hosts, etc.
    • Administration and troubleshooting of on-premise and Azure Active Directory.
    • Azure Active Directory-based SAML implementation and support.
    • Scripting with Microsoft PowerShell, Visual Basic, Python, etc.
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or high administration and support.
    • Intermediate level expertise on VMWare ESXi.
  • Broad Understanding:
    • Security solutions such as web proxy, firewalls, etc.
    • Storage solutions such as SAN, NAS & Flash Arrays.
    • Microsoft SQL Server.
    • LAN & WAN technologies including ports & protocols.
    • Backups, disaster recovery & ransomware attacks
