Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part Time Clinical Lab Assistant for Newton Medical Center in the Core Lab to work varied shifts 3 days per week and weekends as required by the department.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:

• Accession, label, and process laboratory specimens
• Load specimens on lab analyzers and equipment
• Perform patient registration and order lab tests in computer
• Answer phone calls for laboratory information
• Produce lab reports, sort, and deliver
• Pick up lab specimen in various hospital procedure areas
• Process and pack lab specimens for transport

Minimum Education Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Minimum Experience Required:

• Laboratory, physician office or clinic experience preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
