Overview

Atlantic Health System is looking for an Financial Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team! This role will be based in Morristown, NJ with the ability work remote/hybrid schedule. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop internal audit scope and audit plans
  • Acquire, analyze and evaluate supporting documentation for audits
  • Perform audits for compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain complete and accurate audit files
  • Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document process
  • Provide training to AHS departments on compliance/internal audit findings
  • Assist Director in developing annual work plan
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
  • Maintain open communication with management and audit committee
  • Conduct follow up audits
  • Keep abreast of CMS regulations and compliance issues
  • Ability to research Medicare guidelines and create audit plans based on the research

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree - preferably Finance or Accounting

Relevant Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an auditor role
  • Healthcare industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of Epic billing
  • Organizational skills - attention to details
