Overview

 Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per-Diem Registered Nurse for the PACU at Newton Medical Center to working varied shifts. Unit hours are 7:30am - 9:00pm. Rotating call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Weekday call shifts are 9:00pm - 7:00am. Weekend call shifts are 48 hours.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Program required
  • BSN Preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • 1-2 years of Critical Care or PACU experience 

Licenses/Certification:

  • Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
