Newton Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Per Diem Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist for Cardiac Catheterization Lab.  Required hours: 7:00am-5:00pm including on-call as required by the department.


Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and prep for cardiac caths, PCI(STEMI) and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Able to monitor, document and calculate hemodynamic data.
  • Provide procedural assistance to physician, pre, intra and post procedure.
  • Assess and manage access site, and inform physician.
  • Adhere to On call protocol for Cath lab.
  • Prepare patient for procedures.
  • Make recommendations to supervisor on related duties, policies, and procedures.




Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Cardiovascular Technology program (or within six months) required.
  • To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English..


  • RCIS certification preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS & IABP experience preferred.

Relevant Experience:

  • Cardiac Cath lab experience preferred.
