Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Certified Surgical Technician for Same Day Surgery at Overlook Medical Center to work from 7AM to 5 PM at least 1 shift per week. No weekends or on call. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Functions to act as a sterile member of the nursing team in the OR and to assist surgeons.
  • Proficiently performs the role of surgical technologist. Anticipates surgeon's needs for a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Maintains sterility.
  • Possesses knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Performs counts, handles specimens special equipment and instrumentation for various surgical procedures. Follows AHS policy and PRIDE values to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program required

License/Certifications:

  • CST Required
  • BLS certification required 

Relevant Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience preferred
