Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team at Newton Medical Center. Our medical team consists of board-certified obstetricians, neonatology specialists, anesthesiology specialists, maternal-fetal specialists and pediatricians are supported by specially trained nurses, nurse practitioners and midwives.

The CNM will participate in patient assessments, diagnosis of health status, and development of care plans and treatment implementation. They will also perform obstetrical and gynecological care/procedures, attend to patients throughout the course of labor, and monitor fetal condition. Additionally, the CNM will provide hospital-based postpartum care, perform routine gynecological care, and assist with family planning and reproductive health counseling.

• Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board
• Must be licensed as registered nurse (RN) or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• BLS certification required
• 3-5 years’ experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
