Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 3 West- Ortho Department at Chilton Medical Center to work 7PM - 7:30AM including 2 weekend shifts per month.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • The essential functions of this position includes; assisting patients with activities of daily living; obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights; assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities; performing post mortem care; measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring; observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN; maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum Experience

  • 6 months prior health-care experience with patient care experience

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Completion of training program.
  • Completion of Health-care Provider Course within six months.

Qualifications:

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
