Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part Time Crisis Clinician for Behavioral Health -Ed Services at Newton Medical Center to work the day shift including weekends as required by department. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate emergency department-referred patients with behavioral health and psychiatric emergencies.
  • Conduct screening evaluations.
  • Coordinate with an interdepartmental treatment team.
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation.
  • Provide county screening services

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Masters degree in mental health field and experience #1 below; OR
  • Bachelors degree in mental health field and experience #2 below; OR
  • Bachelors degree in mental health field and experience # 3 below.
  • All degrees must be from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience:

  • 1 year post-masters full time professional experience in a psychiatric setting
  • 3 years post-bachelors full time experience in a psychiatric setting, one of which is in a crisis setting
  • 2 years post-bachelors full time professional experience in a psychiatric setting, one of which is in a crisis setting, and currently enrolled in a masters program
