Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Minor Procedures at  Newton Medical Center.

 

This is a day shift position working varying hours, including one weekend call each month.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Function:

 

The registered nurse’s responsibilities include preoperative preparation of the patient for the minor procedure, assistance with bronchoscopies, endoscopies, and minor amputations, administration of conscious sedation, and monitoring of all patients prior, throughout, and post procedure, and infusion therapy of antibiotics and blood products.

  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • BSN preferred

 Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Valid New Jersey Nursing License required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS upon hire
    • Current PALS upon hired

Minimum Experience:

  • 1-2 years Minor Surgery preferred
