Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Technician for the Operating Room at Overlook Medical Center, to work from 7AM to 5PM (including 1-2 weekend shifts every 6 weeks).

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Functions to act as a sterile member of the nursing team in the OR and to assist surgeons. Proficiently performs the role of surgical technologist.
  • Anticipates surgeon's needs for a variety of surgical procedures. Maintains sterility.
  • Possesses knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Performs counts, handles specimens special equipment and instrumentation for various surgical procedures. 
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required

Minimum Experience:

  • 1-2 years Operating Room experience preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Certified Surgical Tech by national accredited certification organization
  • BLS required

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
