Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking multiple per diem Nursing Assistants for Deskovick 3-Spine Unit at Morristown Medical Center. The 8 hour shift varies, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

 

  • Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
  • Assisting patients with daily activities
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
  • Administering basic treatments
  • Helping to ensure a safe care environment
  • Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
  • Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Applicant must possess exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player willing to work in a cohesive team with primary focus on patient safety, quality and satisfaction
  • Must be able to assist in organizational throughput as an extension of the Perioperative team
  • Must possess ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment with a focus on Patient Satisfaction and Teamwork

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required

License/Certifications:

  • BLS preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Relevant Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in acute care preferred
