Overview

AtHome Medical is seeking a candidate to work per diem remotely (must have own device and reliable internet access) . The candidate will perform various functions associated with DME billing and collections. Ideal candidate will be flexible and have the ability to perform different tasks as needed to help meet departmental goals, have excellent computer skills, be organized, have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    • Complete billing steps for claim submission of electronic claims.
    • Work on rejected and corrected claims.
    • Document order processing errors.
    • Review denial reports, determine root causes and correct for claim resolution.
    • Work on AR projects.
    • Request adjustments and document accounts

    Minimum Experience Required 

    • 1-2 Years previous healthcare accounts receivable experience preferred but not required.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – ability to apply Excel formulas.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be organized and have the ability to work independently, identify and solve problems
    • Willingness to learn, attention to detail and good follow up skills

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Prior experience as an office assistant preferred.
