Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Sonography Technologist for the Radiology - Mammography department at Morristown Medical Center to work days.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for breast imaging US exams
• Explains the procedure to the patients prior to exam
• Correlates the clinical history and the patient with the US exam to be performed
• Differentiates artifacts from the normal pathological processes and recognizes equipment limitations
• Maintains lists of sonographic exams performed from each patient as well as document the preliminary reading by the radiologists
• Troubleshoot problems regarding daily operation of equipment-notifying appropriate personnel in the event of equipment malfunction
• Communicate effectively with Manager, Coordinator, Leads, Physicians and other personnel in a professional manner

Education:

• Degree from an accredited Sonography program

Relevant Experience:

• 2+ years of sonogrpahy experience preferred
