Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per-diem Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Transfusion Services Department at Morristown Medical Center to work varied shifts including every other weekend. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Perform ABO/Rh type, antibody screening, antibody identification, compatibility testing, component storage, preparation and issue in trauma center blood bank.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years Blood Bank experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience highly preferred
  • New MLS/ CLS/ MLT grads welcome to apply!

License/Certifications:

  • ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Foreign graduates required equivalency evaluation documentation

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong communication skills, perform well under pressure and be a team player
