Overview

The Foundation for Morristown Medical Center Donor Relations Manager will play an integral role in supporting fundraising efforts through stewardship and targeted donor engagement while helping to build trust and affinity for the nonprofit Morristown Medical Center. The Donor Relations Manager will work as part of the Donor Engagement team to develop comprehensive stewardship plans infused with creative ideas for donor recognition and communications, oversee the Foundation’s courtesy program and play a role in events focused on cultivation and stewardship. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and multifaceted with an emphasis on organized and prompt response to donor requests and the ability to help develop comprehensive materials to report back to donors on the impact of their gift.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:          

              Oversee Donor Courtesy Plus Program

  • Manage and update donor courtesy program and offerings
  • Visit donors when hospitalized, as appropriate
  • Call pre- or post- same day surgery/procedures
  • Manage donor assistance line coverage (24-hour program)
  • Assist with appointment, referrals, transfers and billing issues

              Stewardship Program

  • Coordinate donor stewardship/impact information and dissemination as a part of the Donor Engagement team
  • Contribute to monthly email outreach, social media posts, website stories, annual/individual impact reporting, journal and thank you video
  • Oversee and execute donor stewardship materials including annual endowment reports, donor thank you letters and welcome packets

              Recognition Program

  • Work with Director of Donor Engagement to Maintain and update donor recognition policy, including life cycle guidelines
  • Oversee development and implementation of Annual Donor and Med/Staff Wall, Memorial Wall, and Campaign Wall

General Program Responsibilities

  • Develop program plan, benchmarks and budget
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital partners, physicians and nursing leadership
  • Meet with donor relations peers across AHS foundations
  • Ensure all stewardships and donor touches are accurately recorded in Raiser’s Edge
  • Attend Patient Experience meetings

                        

 

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree
  • Minimum three years of donor relations/customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Suite, Raiser’s Edge experience desirable
  • Previous health care experience preferred
  • Experience with website CMS and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
