Overview

Atlantic Health System is looking for a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join the team at Morristown Medical Center to work various shift including 2 weekends per month. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients
  • Determine deficits
  • Establish treatment program to address needs
  • Provide evidence based interventions
  • Patient, family and caregiver education
  • Make recommendations for safe discharge plans
  • Document appropriately in the electronic medical record
  • Drop charges in accordance with billing guidelines and services provided
  • Supervise COTA's and co-sign their notes

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program

Minimum Experience:

  • Preference given to candidates who love caring for patients, enjoy making meaningful contributions to the lives of others, gain satisfaction from a job well done, and bring their best self to work every day
  • Acute care experience in larger medical setting strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in a large academic medical setting working with a variety of patients is a plus

License/Certification:

  • NJ license to practice Occupational Therapy required
  • Specialty certification is a plus.
