Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician for the Central Sterile Supply Unit at Morristown Medical Center to work 11pm-7am, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning, disinfection, decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of medical and surgical instruments
  • Case cart assembly and distribution
  • The care and distribution of patient care equipment and maintaining the sterile processing areas

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of an Accredited Sterile Processing Program

Minimum Experience:

  • Previous experience preferred

Licenses/Certification:

  • CBSPD or HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification
  • Must either have national certification or obtain within 2 years of hire to maintain position.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

  • Candidate must demonstrate proficiency and teamwork in all areas of the Sterile Processing Department.
  • Follow instructions to ensure quality metrics and standards are met.
  • Able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time, as well as push, pull and lift heavy items.
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
