Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per-diem Registered Nurse in the PACU for Newton Medical Center to work various shift including being on-call. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
  • Candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work Flexible hours with on call component.
  • Ability to work as a team player.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required 
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required  
  • BSN preferred 

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience in PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department preferred.
  • Independent peri-anesthetic management of a complex, varied surgical, and procedural procedural population for phase I recovery

License/Certification:

  • Valid New Jersey Nursing License required.
  •  BLS certification required.
  •  ACLS certification required.
  • PALS certification required.
