Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Core Lab at Morristown Medical Center to work 7am-3pm including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing in the laboratory and report results according to SOP
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment
  • Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation according to SOP
  • Maintain and manage laboratory inventory
  • Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team
  • Maintain competencies and continuing education

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Associate’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution required
  • Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • Previous Medical laboratory experience preferred
  • New graduates welcome

License/Certifications:

  • ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
