Overview

Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a Full Time Medical Office Associate I to join the Orthopedics department in Paramus, NJ. Monday through Friday hours. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • The Medical Office Associate I will manage phones, greet patients, schedule appointments, enter demographic & patient information, verify insurance coverage, accurately complete necessary forms, collect co-pays, balance cash, maintain schedule in EMR system, process precerts/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases, and other duties typical of a physician practice.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Prior administrative experience in a physician practice
  • Computer literacy essential
  • Working knowledge of computerized scheduling and EMR system desired
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate physicians schedules

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Relevant Experience:

  • 1+ year of administrative experience preferred
