Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech for the Vascular Lab at Morristown Medical Center to work primarily on weekend and on call. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Performs all venous exams including insufficiencies, arterial studies to include duplex, bypass grafts and PVR’s, abdominal duplex including renal artery, mesenteric and portals.
  • Will also perform hemodialysis access and vein mappings according to department protocols. .
  • Ability to communicate results to physicians and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Use vascular computer modules to document findings.
  • Ability to work as a team. Provides outstanding patient care

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology program preferred
  • Continuing education strongly preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • Physical and cognitive requirements: Position`s physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including but not limited to, physically assisting patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling.

License/Certifications:

  • RVT/RVS or eligible must obtain registration within one year of hire date required
  • CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
