Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant I for the Gagnon 5 Department at Morristown Medical Center to work 7AM-7PM including, every other weekend. 

Responsibilities

Essential Function/Responsibilities:

  • Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
  • Assisting patients with daily activities
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
  • Administering basic treatments
  • Helping to ensure a safe care environment
  • Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
  • Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills
  • Ability to deliver care to high acuity patients with compassion
  • Progressive mobility

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 1 year experience in Acute Care preferred
  • Experience with activities of daily living.
  • Deliver compassion and caring care to post cardiac surgery patients and families.

License/Certification:

  • BLS certification preferred 
  • CNA preferred
