Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Secretary/Technician for the Intensive Care Unit at Morristown Medical Center to work 7A-7:30P, including every 3rd weekend. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Assists team members with reaching physicians via telephone: excellent phone etiquette.
  • Greet visitors at the desk and answer telephone calls.
  • Maintain collaboration with bed management, charge nurses and physicians  to manage patient beds for admissions, discharges and transfers onot and off the unit.
  • Provide direct patient care including, bed baths, peri care, oral care, linen changes, and position changes.
  • Empty foley bags and drains.
  • Take V/S and report abnormal vital signs to nurse.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of college preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • Previous Unit Associate/NA experience in a hospital or medical office preferred
  • Will consider a Student Nurse

Licenses/Certifications:

  • CNA preferred
