Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for Unit 1 Hussey/Cardiac Progressive Care at Newton Medical Center primarily working 7:00am-7:00pm, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Function:

  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Purpose, Respect, Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion and Extraordinary Caring) in every aspect of their job.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required

Education:

  • BSN Preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Valid NJ RN License required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • NIHSS certification required, Cardiac Telemetry

Relevant Experience:

  • 1-2 years of med/surg experience, preferably in an acute care setting strongly preferred
  • Any other combination of experience: acute care, cardiac tele/progressive care, step down is not required but would be beneficial, willing to train to these skill sets
