Overview

Overlook Medical Center is seeking a per diem Recreational Therapist II to work varied shifts including every other weekend.

 

Responsibilities

Seeking a per diem Recreational Therapist to complete Therapeutic Recreation Assessments; develop, implement, monitor and revise Multi-Disciplinary Care Plans; and facilitate various psychoeducational, milieu, and leisure education groups.

The candidate will be skilled in performing the APIE process.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

 

  • Successful completion of an accreditted 4 year program in Recreation Therapy

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • CTRS preferred; must be eligible to take CTRS exam.
  • Previous behavioral health experience highly preferred
  • Promote Atlantic Health System PRIDE Values.
  • Meet the requirements of a Per Diem Recreational Therapist’s Criteria Based Performance Appraisal. Comply with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Attend department meetings and participate in projects.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills. Ensure patient/family expectations are exceeded.
  • Experience with adult and geriatric behavioral health preferred.
