Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (EKG/Stress) for the Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Department at Newton Medical Center working varied shifts, including every other weekend and on-call.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Perform non-invasive cardiac ultrasound in accordance with established departmental protocols and policies (as per ASE and IAC guidelines)
  • Perform adult echo, TEE and stress echos
  • Perform complete and thorough valve assessments and must be proficient with pedof probe
  • Comply with hospital policies and procedures, attend department meetings and participate in various projects or assignments
  • Effective communication skills with patients, physicians, and other hospital personnel
  • Candidate would be expected to promote Atlantic Health System PRIDE values and meet the requirements of a Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist’s Criteria Based Performance Appraisal

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirments:

  • Must be able to take blood pressure measurements

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Education:

  • Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology program preferred

Certifications:

  • BLS certification required

Relevant Experience:

  • Prior arrhythmia experience is a plus
