Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part Time Massage Therapist for the Center for Well Being in Morristown to work varied shifts/hours. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

 

Massages customers and administers other body conditioning treatments for hygienic or remedial purposes, using a variety of techniques.

  • Performs massages according to policy and procedure
  • Create SOAP notes in MindBody Software after each massage
  • Has knowledge of other wellness services at the Chambers Center.
  • May examine client and recommend other services and products to complement their chief complaint and goals.
  • Attend all team meetings
  • Maintain cleanliness and attention to detail in treatment room throughout shift
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum Experience:

  • 1 year experience in a medical setting

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation massage therapy program with a minimum of 500 hours of training in massage therapy.
  • Nationally Certified or Board-Certified Massage and Body work Therapist having completed the National Certification Exam.
  • Additional certifications in 1 or more of the following areas are required: Sports Massage, Oncology Massage, and Lymphatic Massage

Qualifications:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
  • Mindbody Software knowledge a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to speak effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
