Rotation of shifts will be based upon the needs of the unit.   The neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health System houses a 29-bed unit for neuroscience patients, as well as a 10-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery.   The primary role of the Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for advance practice care delivery in collaboration with Neurocritical Care and Neurosurgical Teams. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, interpretation of diagnostic results, hemodynamic/ventilator management, assisting in bedside procedures, daily progress notes, patient/family education and meetings. This population includes but not limited to embolic and hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhages, brain tumors, seizures, and status epilepticus.
